A BRIEF RECIPE FOR DIVINE HEALING (A Personal Testimony)

About eighteen months ago I went to the Doctor and had a test performed that resulted in having to get more tests run. It was beginning to look like a very serious condition. The spirit of fear crept in tell me of all the terrible things that could happen and show me pictures of the worst in my mind.

I combated all those fiery darts with The Word of God. When those thoughts came, I had to cancel them. And you cannot cancel a thought with another thought, you have to cancel a thought with WORDS! You have to do it just like Jesus did in Matthew 4:1-11. You tell the enemy what The Word of God says about what he is trying to convince you of. When he would have the doctors show me x-ray scans films, ultrasounds, biopsies, surgeries, death . . . I told him, "By the stripes of Jesus, I have been healed!" (1Peter 2:24b) I would say over and over to him, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him; and by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5) I told the devil that not only was my healing already paid for, but so was my peace of mind, for Christ's chastisement bought me my peace of mind about this whole situation and I was not going to take it anymore but referring my case to Him the Divine Physician!

The doctors diagnosed me with Prostate Cancer and Colon and Bladder problems and recommended immediate surgery to remove my Colon and other organs to which I declined.

 I bound this situation and prayed in agreement with someone (Matthew 18:18-20); we fasted (Ezra 8:23 and Matthew 6:16-18); sowed seed about this situation (1 Chronicles 21:22-24, Psalm 126:5-6, Zechariah 8:12, 2 Corinthians 9: 8,10); prayed in the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18); took communion daily and examined ourselves (1 Corinthians 11: 23-32); anointed me with oil (Mark 6:13); spoke life and healing over my life and body (Proverbs 18:21); called the elders of the church to anoint me with oil and pray over me (James 5:14-15); asked the intercessors at churches internationally with my apostolic overseer relationships to pray specifically (James 5:16); believed we received when we prayed (Mark 11:24); and we cast all our care upon the Lord for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Divine healing is a special healing. It is the only kind of healing that can come from The Master's touch. His healing hand goes into the depths of our souls; it is a favourable healing. Nobody does it like God can! We want an answer, but God gives us a solution. We want a band-aid, but He completes. God said He will complete the work He has started. He will give us long life and satisfy our salvation (Psalms 91).

Divine healing is complete healing that goes to the root. It is removing the hurt from our childhood, healing the wounds of abandonment, removing the scars of loneliness. Divine healing is molding together again that heart which is broken. He deals with the heart; God wants your heart. When He does the surgery required to set you free, you think differently, your faith increases, your walk is upright, and you FORGIVE. Unforgiveness can be the root to most sickness outwardly. Holding ill feelings, offense, bitterness and resentment, is a welcome mat for the enemy to come on in and make a home in your body.

God's Word is true: "Whom the Son has set free is free indeed" (John 8:36). "He came that we may have life abundantly" (John 10:10). The word to note is "may." You MAY have, if you choose the Truth and live in it.  Will you choose life and allow the Divine touch of God to heal old and new wounds?  God will give you a new identity with a new level of expectation. He wants to stabilize the emotional roller coaster of your depression, anger, fear, and hopelessness, and reconnect you with purpose and joy.  He wants to give you the ability to recover from all the challenges of life.

Jesus is not looking at what you have become, but at what you will be.  He has a vision of you in His mind that you can still fulfill.  That person is healed without scars.  God wants to use the apparent negatives of your past as the components for a future of wholeness and strength.

After doing several tests (ultrasounds, bone scans, blood, etc) the doctors declared that the results of the tests taken from me were impossible.  The realm of impossibility is the place of opportunity with God. In that place, likewise you can be healed without scars. All glory to God!

I'm grateful for a God that takes out the time to help me work through the seasons of my life with faith in Him. I'm grateful for a God that loved me when I couldn't love myself. I'm grateful for a God that would be so gracious to bring me out of my pit and sanctify me for His use. I'm grateful for those situations that I thought was the end. I'm grateful for a new paternity in Christ Jesus. I am rejoicing in the Great Fullness of Life. I have developed the Attitude for Gratitude. Halleluiah!
